Features of the capacitive touch panel

  • By using capacitance sensing method, a light touch can be recognized.
  • Futaba can support multi-touch and also gesture inputs such as swipe, rotation, etc.
  • The sensor is constructed on a glass substrate allowing > 90% transparency.
  • Due to the one glass substrate structure, the Futaba touch panel can be made thinner and lighter.
  • The sensor circuit involves a one IC, dedicated microcontroller
    and can either be on the touch panel FPC (known as COF) or mounted on the customer PCB.
